Eric Holder Hearts Issa
You are a shameful brute Darrell Issa. (He hit me and it felt like a kiss.)
The Attorney General is one tough guy.
And Holder can smell BS and slice and dice right through.

The Military Cesspool
Caution: Get out of the military. Parents questioning whether to let their children enter the military? Are you kidding me -- it's still just a question?
Once upon a time I considered the military. That was in the 70's and 80's and 90's. Each time I had this feeling come over me that I would indeed lose my freedom. I shuddered and moved on. How foolish to have even considered it. I'm not a masochist.
Just 1 rape in the military is one too many. Now we know rape is tolerated and approved, evidenced by the statistics and the recent headlines about the ones left in charge of prevention, actually tolerating/administering the abuse. This is about our own security. And I for one do not feel secure. Thank you George Bush and Rumsfeld. This seems like your M.O.
From CBS about the Army report:
It's as if Rumsfeld secretly advertised on Craig's List to get all these wholesome predators creepy-crawling around in the military now.
Question? Do ya really think all this scandal in the military would've come to light under Bush? Oh, please, tell me another f'n lie.

| Cheney & Rumsfeld watched Abu Ghraib and enjoyed it. |
From CBS about the Army report:
Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, issued a statement Tuesday evening saying his panel is considering a number of measures to counter the problem, including changes to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, and will act on them next month.
"Tragically, the depth of the sexual assault problem in our military was already overwhelmingly clear before this latest highly disturbing report," Levin said.
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., said she intends to present new comprehensive legislation on Thursday to reform the military justice system by removing chain-of-command influence from prosecution of sex abuse crimes.
"To say this report is disturbing would be a gross understatement," Gillibrand said. "For the second time in a week we are seeing someone who is supposed to be preventing sexual assault being investigated for committing that very act."
It's as if Rumsfeld secretly advertised on Craig's List to get all these wholesome predators creepy-crawling around in the military now.

Let's ask John Dean
![]() |
| From Dick, the movie |
And at the same time let's have Nancy Pelosi put back on the table the prosecution of George W. Bush, Richard Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld why don't we? If we must have fireworks I prefer prosecuting war criminals.
John Dean tells Eleanor Clift (Daily Beast):
John Dean, who testified before Congress about “the cancer” on the Nixon presidency, told The Daily Beast, “No, not yet, it’s not even close to Watergate at this point.” The former White House counsel dismissed the flap over Benghazi as “loose charges” in search of a scandal, and the battle over the talking points “a CYA [cover your ass] operation between two different agencies,” with the State Department and the CIA seeking to shift blame for the security lapses that led to the deaths of four Americans.
“When you have a good scandal, one that has legs, you know what the underlying problem is,” Dean said. Benghazi fails that test, “and with no clear charge, the public is confused and bored and not terribly interested,” he says, a judgment that is borne out by a Pew survey that finds fewer than half of Americans, 44 percent, say they are following the hearings in Congress very or fairly closely.
The IRS is another matter, says Dean, and it will capture the public’s interest, though he adds the facts bear no resemblance to what he saw when he was in the Nixon White House. At a news conference Monday with British Prime Minister David Cameron, President Obama said he first learned from news reports Friday that the IRS was improperly targeting conservative groups, a procedure that began in 2010 when the agency was headed by a Bush appointee. Speculation that the scrutiny of Tea Party groups might have been directed out of the White House is “baloney,” says Dean. “If that were the case, it wouldn’t have come out this way [disclosed by the IRS itself].”
Nixon’s infamous enemies list targeted political opponents and journalists for audits, working directly with a person in the IRS whom the White House had planted there, says Dean. “He fed [John] Ehrlichman information when asked, and sometimes when not asked.” Nixon was irate when he discovered that an IRS list of people scheduled for audits included Billy Graham and John Wayne. “Why are our friends getting audited?” he demanded.

| Hollywood Nixon |
Yes, and also, as in the movie (and real life) Nixon mistreated his dog, Checkers. Remember too that, Mitt Romney was cruel and punishing to his dog Seamus, yet Barack Obama manages to treat Bo as another member of his family like normal people do. THIS is how I judge potential scandalists, if I were indeed a judgemental person anyway.
Scandalist UPDATE - 2:30PM: From Huff:
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department says Attorney General Eric Holder removed himself from a decision to subpoena phone records of The Associated Press.
A Justice Department statement Tuesday says that Holder stepped aside — a procedure known as recusal. The statement says Holder stepped aside because he had been interviewed in a government investigation into who provided information for an AP story that disclosed details of a CIA operation in Yemen.
Holder has assigned Deputy Attorney General Jim Cole to handle the phone records case.
The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The AP in what the news cooperative's top executive called a massive and unprecedented intrusion into how news organizations gather the news.
Still no scandalist leggs. AP - 1, Holder good. A grand jury AND a judge approved this very serious subpoena concerning planes full of people -- DANGER Will Robinson, DANGER. :)

Blame the Mormons
Just a thought: Was Ariel Castro influenced by the Brown family on Sister Wives, the reality tv show? Did Castro ask why can't he have lots of women at his disposal like Kody? This is every man's dream.
Kody has four women living with him, (barely skirting the law of this land). Castro had three. Perhaps Castro cast himself in his fantasies as a Mormon, taking in girl after girl, hoping that somehow someday these girls would like him.
Oh what a world.

Dead Like Me
I am dead.
It is true. Sorry self, I just know it.
After this week, what with another surprise horror esploding onto the media, and the media seemingly, quite innocently unawares, (equals they have to cover it like Katrina category) I am dreadfully overwhelmed. I know this because I simply became deader. IN this week of horror I had already forgotten which tragedy had come before this one. My empathy card was past overflow. I felt like Will Graham in the Hannibal show on NBC.
I want to write my true feelings about all of this mayhem but can't, won't. I have already done it many many times (in the past) and it would seem superfluously repetitive now. These events only mean we need to do more -- not less: investing in people's well-being at all phases and times. As good citizens of the world all of us should help. How many of the "us" are there? These times are epidemic on the horror scale. I was talking to my daughter the other day and she didn't believe this is a pandemic, that there has to be disease. Disease? What else is more diseased than the destruction of those who bring life to this world? Uh yeah, Happy Mother's Day. Well look at this video below:
This rape pandemic is a disease because it is killing us mind, body and soul. Murder. Nihilism. All of this is that. Stealing humanity with impunity - whether dead or alive.
Here's a horrendous quote from something I read this morning off the google search page "rape is pandemic": "Had the girl simply surrendered and not resisted when surrounded by 6 men, she would not have lost her intestine." Oh, for the life of me I am dead now, yet I still cry.
I wonder if those Cleveland girls felt dead at times. Do they feel that way now? I don't know, but they have to feel freer by now.
I thought of this song this morning for them . . . I hope their lives are now filled with beauty and song, and they feel more alive.
Not me. I am dead.

Homecomings Trump Issa's Circus
At least on CNN and MSNBC . . . Ha.
Of course, Michelle Knight, the one girl not mentioned much in this investigation is still in the hospital. She was the first known girl to have been captured/stolen by this Castro monster. She is considered to have been very frail upon discovery.
While listening to this story I just keep wondering how many other women (people) are held against their will in this world. I pray for them. I would almost give up my own privacy to make sure there are not others living in daily hell.
Reuters) - Amanda Berry, free less than two days from a decade of captivity with two other women in a Cleveland house, arrived on Wednesday at her sister's home, where her family pleaded for privacy.
Berry, 27, had been expected to make a statement, but she did not. She and her 6-year-old daughter, who was conceived and born in captivity, could be seen from an aerial television camera returning to her sister's house in a convoy of vehicles and going in the back door.
Police released some details about the search of the house where the women were held, including the discovery of chains and ropes police said were used to tie up the victims. Police said no human remains were found.
Three brothers identified by police as the suspects were expected to be charged by the end of the day, police said.

Cowards and Terrors
Hello? Alienation much?
What is wrong with this world? Leon Russell wrote Stranger in a Strange Land in '71. Oh my god, we are so screwed. It is one thousand times worse NOW. We live in a gun culture, hate culture, don't say anything about rape culture, and bomb, bomb Iran culture, and a culture where right-wingers just get more mean nasty and crazy and paranoid and will sell themselves so as to do senseless irresponsible propaganda unimpeded. No wonder little babies look around and then burst into crying jags. Feel it.
You dumb ass.
Lyrics:
How many days has it been
Since I was born
How many days until I die
Do I know any ways
That I can make you laugh
Or do I only know how to make you cry
When the baby looks around him
It's such a sight to see
He shares a simple secret
With the wise man
He's a stranger in a strange land
Just a stranger in a strange land
Tell me why
He's a stranger in a strange land
Just a stranger in a strange land
How many miles will it take
To see the sun
And how many years until it's done
Kiss my confusion away in the night
Lay by my side when the morning comes
And the baby looks around him
And shares his bed of hay
With the burrow in the palace of the king
He's a stranger in a strange land
Tell me why
He's a stranger in a strange land
Just a stranger in a strange land
Well, I don't exactly know
What's going on in the world today
Don't know what there is to say
About the way the people are treating
Each other, not like brothers
Leaders take us far away from ecology
With mythology and astrology
Has got some words to say
About the way we live today
Why can't we learn to love each other
It's time to turn a new face
To the whole world wide human race
Stop the money chase
Lay back, relax
Get back on the human track
Stop racing toward oblivion
Oh, such a sad, sad state we're in
And that's a thing
Do you recognize the bells of truth
When you hear them ring
Won't you stop and listen
To the children sing
Won't you come on and sing it children
He's a stranger in a strange land
Just a stranger in a strange land

Getting Those Terrorist Cowards
Cowards, they are in their element when they sneak up behind you - from out of nowhere - boom: Either your throat is cut, or if the terrorist is "Dexter" the needle has already been plunged; or if you've busted into a school or theater - out come the guns - surprise! Shots ring out, bombs explode, airplanes suddently appear flying way too low. It's a low blow and it causes a very manic traumatic to the human body. This is cowardly terrorism. Terror cowards.
The terror cowards, though, always make me then think of the halo people who rush in and take care of what the the terror coward has wrought. Halo people administer to our bleedings, ultimately our hearts. We must always remember that all of WE far out number the mean cowardly terror.
Yet, we have another problem, our country is saturated with propaganda, making an inordinate number of people paranoid. Should we pay attention to them? Or continue to ignore them? Should President Obama address the problem? Perhaps it is about damned time we regulate media in all its forms - especially on the net.

Suspect in Custody Alive
I just checked CNN's headline - they finally got it right - CAPTURED!! Except the "dark skinned" suspect was not delivered to the court house but to the hospital. Way ta go!
I am so relieved for Boston and Watertown tonight and pleased they have come together as a community in this final resolution.
Man, this has been one helluva week. Nothing but bombs and gunfire, squared. Perhaps that's what Spring means now.

CNN, (AP and Fox) wriggle in and out of egg on their face - Ha
Ooops, Anderson goes back, yet again, to Joe Johns imploringly: "again Anderson, NO ARREST HAS BEEN MADE." CNN relied solely on Fran Townsend? Okaya.
I think MSNBC rocks with the facts today. Yes. And CBS too.
So . . . as I watch CNN try to verbally get out of wrong/hasty pudding reporting faux pas, I'm playing Queen's, We Will Rock You! (Say you're sorry CNN) MSNBC? You rock. Rock Center as Brian Williams always says as he interrupts "these stations".
You may ask yourself what is she talking about? Boston Bombing Investigation:
UPDATE: 5:26PM - Wolf to rescue has reined in the insanity on CNN and says "if it's not accurate, you fix it, move on." Amen, Wolf-man, just "keepin' em honest". You the man. On a sidenote here, Al Sharpton just wrote the right (riot) act on John King of CNN about his "dark skinned male" remark, pertaining to bombing suspect. Sharp was on fire - you go! (This is indeed a pressurized kind of day. I hope things get better.) Peace, please.

There have been no arrests made yet in the bombings at the Boston Marathon that left three people dead and scores injured, U.S. government and law enforcement sources told Reuters, contradicting earlier reports from several media outlets.UPDATE: CNN *now* reporting "substantial progress" is being made in this investigation.
CNN, Fox News, the Associated Press and the Boston Globe had reported an arrest had been made or was imminent. Boston police, via Twitter, denied that an arrest had been made.
